National Medal Of Arts Awarded

On November 10, 2005, President George W. Bush awarded the National Medal of Arts to nine individuals and one organization. The National Medal of Arts, established by Congress in 1984, is awarded by the president to those who have made extraordinary contributions to the creation, growth, and support of the arts in the United States. The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia is the institutional recipient.
