Twenty-Four Sites Added to World Heritage List

Twenty-four sites (seven natural and seventeen cultural) have been added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. The list now includes 812 properties, forming part of the cultural and natural heritage that the World Heritage Committee considers having outstanding universal value. The new sites include: Qal'at al-Bahrin, an archaeological site in Bahrain; the Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina; the Plantin-Moretus House-Workshops-Museum Complex in Belgium; and the Museum-City of Gjirokastra.
