2002 CAA ROUNDTABLE:
Building A Career While Buying An Education

Chair: Karen White, Assistant Professor of Design, University of Arizona

The Student and Emerging Professionals Committee of the College Art
Association organized this roundtable in order to create a dialogue between
studio artists and art historians, current students, and professionals to
discuss ways to build your career while still a student. The panelists,
comprised of both artists, educators and professionals from many fields in
the arts discussed ways and means of enhancing the graduate experience
through extra activities to develop one's career. It is our hope that the
panel offered insight and ideas in ways to be a proactive student and
further one's career options through the discussion and suggestions.
