South Dakota State University’s School of Design invites applications for an artist-in-residence. Project intent should emphasize the artist’s conceptualization process documented through any visual approach; the selected artist will communicate progress with students, faculty and community members during open studio hours. Requirements: a full time working schedule and at least 10 hours of open studio time per week; a public lecture at the South Dakota Art Museum; an exhibition at Ritz Gallery. Included: 24/7 access to a 1,200sq. ft. lockable studio space with basic studio furniture; lockable bedroom with private bathroom in a furnished University-owned house.
