This edition of SLAG Mag will explore how MILK is more than a bodily fluid separating mammals from other animals.

What is it? Some aspects to explore include it’s physicality, symbolism, taste, political, gender and sexual natures. This is more then a material study focus, but instead focusing upon MILK as an orbital point to think about post-humanism, food politics, economics, gender, evolution, environmentalism, etc.

We’ve seen milk: become currency as ‘Mother’s Milk in the post-apocalypse world of Mad Max, Nestlé attempts to profitize breast milk; luxury boutiques opening to only sell mammalian milk; it, it is still a common allergen. SLAG Mag invites submissions related to forms of art, poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, and other formats for print.
