The Department of Art and Design in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position in Painting and Drawing at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2017. A Master of Fine Arts in Painting is required as well as a minimum of two years teaching at the college level. Teaching responsibilities include drawing, painting and 2D Design courses. Candidates should have the ability to teach historical and contemporary approaches in painting and drawing and the ability to teach printmaking or photographic media a plus. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.

The college is within walking distance of the Naperville Metra station and is next to downtown Naperville.
