OPEN FOR ENTRIES.  We are currently reviewing submissions by visual artists for our forthcoming exhibit SECRET GARDEN. The group show will feature female identifying artists exploring works of nudes and erotic art and will take place July 2017 at The Untitled Space gallery in New York City. The exhibit is open to submissions of works or proposals from professional artists until June 4, 2017. Acceptable mediums include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media and collage among others. The exhibit "Secret Garden" is inspired in part by the book, "My Secret Garden" (1973) by sex positive feminist pioneer Nancy Friday, who was instrumental in addressing the taboos revolving around female sexuality in the early 70s and an important figure of the feminist sexual liberation movement. The exhibit will feature a wide array of works by female artists addressing erotic themes in their works, and how that relates to feminism and/or contemporary society today. We are looking for works across all mediums that are uninhibited, and fearless with regards to the female form and explorations around this theme. Artists may submit up to 5 works of art for consideration. All artwork must be framed and/or ready to hang if accepted.
