FOUR COLLEGE ART STUDENT are chosen for this Fellowship (Fall 2017 - May 2018)

 

FELLOWSHIP RECIPIENTS RECEIVE:

$1,000 for materials to create artwork for an exhibition at The Dayton Art Institute

Experience mentoring and teaching select high school art students

One year membership to The Dayton Art Institute

Mentoring from museum education department staff

 

TO APPLY, PLEASE PROVIDE:

 

●     A cover letter with complete personal contact information and information about the college art program you are currently attending

●     Images (jpgs) of up to 10 artworks

●     An image check list including: your name, artwork titles, date, medium used and size

●     A one-page artist’s statement

●     A one-page essay stating your opinion on the role of artists as educators and/or the importance of art education

●     A letter of recommendation from an educator or artist

 

All application materials must be submitted to Christine Fleming, cfleming@daytonart.org by

August 1, 2017
