STUDIO WORKSPACE RESIDENCY
The Studio Workspace Residency is a four- to six-week opportunity for artists to work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics. For this residency, artists pay $200/week, plus materials, in exchange for onsite housing and 24/7 studio access. Artists are given a thorough studio orientation at the beginning of their residency, but should be able to work independently. WSW can provide technical assistance and instruction for $50/hour.

Length of residency: 4-6 weeks

ART-IN-ED WORKSPACE RESIDENCY
The Art-in-Ed Workspace Residency is a five-week opportunity for artists with teaching experience; knowledge of intaglio, silkscreen, or hand papermaking; and an interest in creating their own work while also working with local school students. Artists may choose to work on their own projects in any of our studio disciplines. Artists teach in WSW’s studios two days/week for three weeks and visit the students twice in school. In exchange for teaching, residents receive onsite housing and 24/7 studio access during non-AIE sessions. Spring residents work with elementary and/or middle school students.

CHILI BOWL WORKSPACE RESIDENCY
The Chili Bowl Workspace Residency is a four- to six-week opportunity for ceramicists who want to make bowls for our annual Chili Bowl Fiesta. Each February, WSW sells over 900 bowls, mugs, and tumblers at our Chili Bowl Fiesta. The vessels are made and decorated throughout the year by visiting artists, staff, interns, and our weekly clay study group. For this residency, artists pay $100/week and make 50 glazed or 100 bisqued bowls, in exchange for onsite housing and 24/7 studio access. Artists are given a thorough studio orientation at the beginning of their residency, but should be able to work independently and must provide their own materials.

ORA SCHNEIDER REGIONAL RESIDENCY GRANT
The Ora Schneider Regional Grant is a month-long residency for artists residing in New York State’s Greene, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange counties. Artists are welcome to work in any of our studio disciplines, including intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics. This grant includes a $1500 stipend and 24/7 studio access. We understand that applicants may not be close enough for a daily commute, so free onsite housing can also be arranged.

PARENT RESIDENCY GRANT
The Parent Grant—made possible by new support from the Sustainable Arts Foundation—is a four-week residency for an artist with dependent child/children under the age of 15. Artists may choose to work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics. This grant includes a $1000 childcare stipend, up to $250 for travel costs, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW can also provide technical advice and production assistance.
