Collaborate with New Music Ensemble!

VERDANT VIBES is a new music ensemble and concert series based in Providence, RI. Each season we select newly composed instrumental, electronic, and hybrid music from our FREE call for scores. Concerts will take place in unique venues around Providence, featuring the Verdant Vibes Ensemble along with special guest performers from the local and regional experimental, electronic, and new music scenes.

We have had success in our past seasons collaborating with other artists in our performances, including multimedia artists, designers, dancers, and poets. So for our third season’s call for work, we are including a FREE call for collaborative projects among these other artists to include with the new music we will perform.

CALL FOR COLLABORATIONS: If you would like to propose a collaboration of any sort with our ensemble and concert series, please upload various work samples and tell us about your ideas in the "Call for Collaborations" field, midway through our
SUBMISSION FORM

Possible collaborations could include dance, poetry, video, or any other time-based media, as well as 2 or 3D art and installation. Ideally the artists will collaborate with particular music pieces we select for the season, or if they are composers themselves, submit their own music as well. We are very open with this call for work, but please be as detailed as possible with the kind of collaboration you are proposing, and submit work samples that will best help us understand what you have in mind. Please look at our website for samples of our past performances.

Pieces may be up to 15 minutes in duration, scored for one or more performers drawn from the following instruments: clarinet/bass clarinet (1 player), violin (2 players), viola, cello, double bass, percussion, piano/synth/accordion (1 player), electric guitar, electronics, and/or multimedia. The addition of one or two other instruments/voices may be possible; please contact info@verdantvibes.com with specific questions.

Participants will be notified of results by September 15. All works will be given equal consideration, regardless of the age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or nationality of the composer. Verdant Vibes strives to present a diverse spectrum of voices.
