It’s LIQUID Group, in collaboration with Jorge Jurado Gallery, is selecting all interesting photography, painting, installation/sculpture, video art and performance art works to include in the next 2017 exhibition ALCHEMIC BODY | FIRE . AIR . WATER . EARTH, International photography, painting, installation, video-art and performance art festival, that will be hosted in Bogotà (Colombia), at Jorge Jurado Gallery, from November 01 to November 30, 2017.
The exhibition is organized and curated by Arch. Luca Curci (director of It’s LIQUID Group).
Selection is open to video art, photography, painting, sculpture/installation, art performance and experimental dance. Artists, photographers, video makers and performers are invited to submit their works by e-mail to lucacurci@lucacurci.com
ALCHEMIC BODY | FIRE . AIR . WATER . EARTH is an exhibition of contemporary art, an opportunity for international artists to exhibit their works in the blooming Bogotà arts scene, destination of curators and collectors from all over the world. The exhibition is focused on the concept of transformation, starting from the alchemical processes, that aim to purify the nature elements: earth, air, water and fire. The alchemists, recognized as the ancestors of modern chemists, worked to discover the way the world is made and to modify its structure. The mysterious practice of alchemy always influenced the art and the artists from all the centuries. Alchemists and artists are fascinated by the concept of transformation and they both work to discover and create new possibile worlds. We invite artists to share their researches about the natural elements and the creative processes of mixing and changing, using the body as field of artistic transformation.
The event is open to photography, video art, painting, installation/sculpture and performing art. Artists, photographers, video makers and performers are invited to submit their works and projects. To take part in the selection, send your works’ submissions with a CV/biography, some still images (for video-art), links of videos/films/performances and pictures of artworks via e-mail to lucacurci@lucacurci.com
Deadline for applications is September 03, 2017 (11.59 PM of your local time)
Artists interested in taking part in our shows, are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representers; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events. Artists are free to take part in one or more of the programmed events.
