InVision College Photography Contest

October 21, 2017 – December 10, 2017

The Olympus InVision Festival is a premier photo-based art festival that is designed to foster excitement and dialogue between a diverse group of participants around learning about and making art. The 3-day festival and complementary year-long programming provides professional development, networking and hands-on workshops for photographers, image-based artists, creative entrepreneurs, makers and DIYers. InVision leverages the unique attractions, history and landscape of the surrounding region and celebrates its diverse artistic and cultural community.

An integral part of the festival again this year is the annual College Photography Competition Exhibition. This exhibition in our Hallway to the Arts is a special juried exhibition highlighting the artistic talents of students currently enrolled in college. This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for students to exhibit their works in a professional setting with thousands of visitors seeing the works during the duration of the show.

The juror for the 7th Annual Olympus InVision College Photography Contest will be announced in the coming months. The juror will also select 3 photographs that will receive prizes and will also indicate any special honorable mentions. The final decision regarding the suitability of all artwork included in the exhibition will be made by the curator at the time of the installation.

Awards: (Cash prizes awarded to the winners)

1st place = $250; 2nd place = $150; 3rd place = $75

Award winners will be announced during the InVision First Friday on November 3, from 6PM-9PM at the Banana Factory Arts Center.
