Size Matters: Small Iron Works Exhibition
The 8th International Conference of Contemporary Cast Iron Art is seeking artists for Size Matters. This exhibition will showcase sculptors working in cast iron on a small scale. Artists are encouraged to consider the conference theme, "Post Industrial Iron: Divergence, Dialog, and New Directions." The goal of this exhibition is to provide all registered participants of ICCCIA with an opportunity to exhibit at the conference.

300 Lackawanna Ave
Scranton, PA 18503

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 28, 2018, 1-5pm
All work must be hand delivered to STEAMworks  between 1pm- 5pm on May 28, 2018.  No artwork will be accepted after 5pm.

Exhibition : May 30–June 1, 2018

ELIGIBILITY:
Size Matters is open to all delegates who are registered for the ICCCIA. All works must be original work and completed in the last three years.  All works must include cast iron and be no larger than 12" in any dimension.

APPLY:

Media: Work will be accepted in any media, but must include cast iron. No artwork can be larger than  12" in any dimension.  Ceiling mounted works will not be considered based on the facility restrictions. Only original work will be shown. No reproductions will be accepted.


Number of entries: Entry is limited to piece per artist. The curator reserves the right to disqualify any work not reflecting the specifications of the exhibition. 


Form: All artists will be required to complete an entry form on site at the time of delivery.


DEADLINE:
All entries must be hand delivered to STEAMworks  between 1pm- 5pm on May 28, 2018.  No artwork will be accepted after 5pm EST on Monday, May 28, 2018.
 
SUBMITTED WORKS:

COMPLETE entry form must be submitted on site with the artwork. 
All pieces must be delivered to the STEAMworks Gallery, located in the Mall at Steamtown, 300 Lackawanna Ave, Scranton, PA 18503, between 1 pm and 5 pm on May 28, 2018.
 Artists are responsible for hand delivering their work to and from STEAMworks. Works will not be picked up or received from alternate locations. Artists should consider individual transportation and flight details as well as customs regulations for all works transported. Artists are responsible for all transportation and delivery costs.
All works must arrive ready to exhibit. Two-dimensional works should be framed and wired. Three-dimensional works must include specific instructions for assembly or display.  The curator will make every attempt to accommodate special requests, but can not make guarantees.
Work CAN NOT be shipped via mail.
 All exhibiting artists are responsible for picking up their work June 2 and June 3 between 1pm-5pm. Work left uncollected by 5pm, June 3, 2018 will be considered forfeit and will be disposed of at the discretion of ICCCIA


ENTRY FEE:
There is no fee for this exhibition. It is open to all registered delegates of the conference. Artists will be required to show evidence of registration before works can be submitted to the exhibition.

SCHEDULE:
May 28th -  all work hand delivered to STEAMworks  between 1pm- 5pm.  No work will be accepted after 5pm.
May 30th - exhibit opens at 2pm
June 1st - opening/reception: 5-9pm
June 2nd and 3rd - mandatory pickup times: 1pm-5pm (alternate pickup times by appointment only)

AWARDS:
The exhibition will be juried in several categories by all registered delegates as well as participating and associated staff of the ICCCIA. Awards will be announced during the closing remarks of the conference on June 3, 2018.

SALES:
All inquiries and sales shall be handled by the artist.

LIABILITY:
All possible care will be taken in the handling of entries. Entrants accept that ICCCIA and STEAMworks, its staff, employees, volunteers, and governing boards are not responsible for loss of or damage to any entry.  ICCCIA and STEAMworks will provide security for all work while inside the exhibit venue for the extent of the exhibit. Artists will complete an entry form on site that will assume consent is given to ICCCIA by the artist to document submitted works for the purpose of promotion.
