Clay Studio Artist in Residency

The STARworks Clay Studio is accepting applications for residency positions of three months duration. The residency allows artists the opportunity to expand their studio practices, experiment with a stipend of STARworks manufactured local clay, wood firing on site and work with nearby Seagrove, NC potters. 

Duration: 3 months. Annual Application Deadlines: February 28th for Fall Sessions and September 30th for Spring Sessions

Residency fees: subsidized housing fee at $275 per month. Fee includes: Shared housing with all utilities included. No electric kiln fees, must pay for wood and gas for firings.

Opportunities and responsibilities: A work exchange program offers $10 per hour for a maximum of 20 hours/week, 24/7 studio access, gallery sales, and monthly clay stipend of STARworks manufactured clay.

Other Responsibilities include: Assisting/teaching workshops and demonstrations, preparing for events, and studio maintenance.
