STUDIOS MIDWEST is a visual arts residency program dedicated to the creative expression of the artists who participate. This short-term residency takes place each summer for a period of 4 weeks (July 5-29) and is hosted by teh Galesburg Civic Art Center, a nonprofit organization located in downtown Galesburg, Illinois - a town in the heart of the Midwest, known for its diverse artistic community, independent shops and eateries!

SELECTED ARTISTS WILL ENJOY:

- Freedom to express your creative vision

- Shared studio facilities through Knox College Whitcomb Art Center

- Publicity for artist in residence related programs throughout west-central Illinois

- Exhibition space at teh Galesburg Civic Art Center

- Close proximity to Blick Art Materials Retail and Outlet Store; while downtown Galesburg and Knox College campus is walkable, other transportation will need to be coordinated to get to Blick or surrounding areas

- Artist stipend of $500 available!
