CICA New Media Art Conference 2018 Call for Submissions

CICA Museum invites creative writers, scholars, and artists worldwide to participate in the CICA New Media Art Conference 2018 and the publication. We are open to proposals for paper presentations, workshops, experimental sessions, as well as artistic performance. Selected essays will be featured in the book “New Media Art 2019,” expected to be published in November 2018. The book will be available in major bookstores in Korea, and in the United States and other countries via Amazon.

*This year’s categories include:
-Single Channel Video & Animation
-New Media Installations
-Interactive Art
-Game Art
-Web Art
-Mobile App
-Art and Artificial Intelligence
-Virtual/Augmented Reality Art
-Art and Social Media
-Art and Mass Media
-Data Visualization
-3D Printing
-Performance (Addressing Media Related Issues)
-New Media Culture

*Timeline:
February 15, 2018: Close submissions
February 22-26, 2018 Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
May 30 – June 3, 2018 New Media Art Solo Exhibition Series
May 31 – June 3, 2018: CICA NMAC 2018
November 15, 2018: Expected publication date of “New Media Art 2019”

*How to submit your work:
– Please send us up to 10 JPG portfolio images (100-700 kilobytes per image recommended) and/or up to 3 direct links to video/ web/interactive art, your artist statement, and bio. Please email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”
– Please write “Submission: CICA NMAC 2018 – Exhibition – Artist’s Name” in the subject line of your email.

*Registration required at the time of paper/exhibition acceptance. The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses.
