This is the sixth year of the EMERGE competition. We are looking to give one $250 EMERGE Fellowship Award and exhibition opportunities to emerging photographers. This fellowship opportunity is geared toward photographers looking to launch their art careers through the exposure of exhibition. Build your exhibition record with this exhibition through entering your photographs and competing for a space in the gallery, and a chance to be designated as the 2018 emerging photographer through the EMERGE Fellowship Award.
Selected artists will have their work featured in the exhibition and online. One recipient will be designated as the 2018 emerging photographer and be awarded the $250 EMERGE Fellowship Award, and receive one year artist representation online at the Midwest Center for Photography.
Exhibition dates: March 30 - April 13, 2018
Entry Fee: $40
Eligibility: Open to all emerging photographers nationwide in the USA. All photographic media is welcome; black & white gelatin silver prints, color c-prints, digital prints, alternative processes, etc...

Awards: $250 EMERGE Fellowship Award, and one year artist representation online at the Midwest Center for Photography.
Considerations: Selection will be based upon the series of work submitted by each artist rather than solely on individual images. A brief artist statement is optional.
