Montgomery College Artist in Residence Program

Type: Residencies, Workshops, Exchanges [View all]
Posted by: Montgomery College, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus
Deadline: Mon, March 19th, 2018

The Artist-In-Residence Program (AIR) is an exciting new addition to the Department of Visual Arts and Design. The AIR program is designed to support and enhance the artistic and educational environment within The Morris and Gwendolyn Foundation Arts Center. During their residency professional working artists will be provided personal studio space to carry out their own studio practice. Resident artists will augment the academic programs through interaction with the school community in various activities including demonstrations, workshops, and lectures.

The AIR program provides artists with studio space for up to one semester in duration. Studios provided are highly visible and placed in an interactive academic setting. To maximize interaction with academic programs, residency dates will align with the academic calendar.

Applications are reviewed once yearly in the spring for residencies during the upcoming academic year. To apply, please complete the application as instructed.

Applications for residencies during the 2018–2019 academic year are due March 19, 2018.

If you have questions about the program or application procedure not addressed in these materials, please email Katherine Knight, katherine.knight@montgomerycollege.edu.
