COACTION
An exhibition of collaborations

Proposal Submission deadline: JUNE 30
Exhibition dates: October 11 - November 3, 2018

This show will include art made by teams of two or more artists. People collaborate in many ways, but artists most often work in isolation. This show challenges artists to work toward a common idea, and, in the process, learn more about their own artistic practice. 

 

Submissions can be finished works or proposals for pieces that will be made specifically for this show. The proposal should include an image of the artwork, or a description of the proposed artwork including medium and approximate sizes, along with the names of the artists who are collaborating on the single work.

This show is a collaboration between Arts Unbound and Valley Arts. It will be on view in both of our gallery spaces; The Dora Stern Gallery at Arts Unbound at 544 Freeman Street, Orange, NJ and the Valley Arts Community Gallery at 400 South Jefferson Street, Orange, NJ. Because of our mission at Arts Unbound, we strongly encourage artists with disabilities and seniors who are just beginning their artistic careers to apply.
