ELIGIBILITY:
Open to artists ages 18+ currently living and working in Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri or Oklahoma.
This exhibition is juried and acceptance is not guaranteed.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
The entry form, digital images of work to be submitted and entry fee must be submitted and received no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
ELIGIBLE WORK:
• All mediums welcome
• 2D and 3D work.
• Work must be original and not copied from other artists or from published materials.
• Work must have been produced since 2015 and cannot previously have been included in any exhibition at CityArts including previous Arts Council Juried Exhibitions.
ENTRY FEE:
Artists may submit up to five pieces with a $30 non-refundable entry fee. Submitting more than 5 pieces will result in ineligibility.
NOTIFICATION:
Artists will begin receiving notification of acceptance on Monday, September 17, 2018. For those who have been accepted, information regarding framing and presentation will be communicated. If work is being shipped as opposed to hand-delivered, the artist is responsible for all associated shipping costs to and from CityArts.
AWARDS:
Cash prizes will be awarded. Gold, best in show: $1,000; Silver: $750; Bronze: $500.
TIMELINE OF EXHIBITION:
Wednesday, September 12 – submissions due, 5 p.m.
Monday, September 17 – artist notification begins
Wednesday, October 3 – artist packets due
Friday October 12 thru Saturday, October 20 – artwork drop off
Thursday, October 25 – private reception & awards ceremony, 6-7 p.m.
Friday, October 26 – Final Friday reception, 6-8pm
Wednesday, November 21 – exhibition closes
Monday, November 26 – artwork pick up
