CICA Museum invites creative writers, scholars, and artists worldwide to participate in “Art Teleported,” the art show and conference. The event will be held on January 4-5, 2019 in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Presenters will have a presentation in a session and participate in the art show. Presenters will be featured in the book “New Media Art 2020,” expected to be published in November 2019. The book will be available in major bookstores in Korea, and in the United States and other countries via Amazon. We are open to proposals for paper presentations, workshops, experimental sessions, as well as artistic performance.

 

Through Project Art Teleported, we aim to create a global network among nomadic artists, designers, audiences, and communities and promote understanding and appreciation of each other, so they can make, share, appreciate, and live in art in any regions and cultures.

-Art and Globalism/Localism

-Art and Diaspora

-Art and Artificial Intelligence

-Virtual/Augmented Reality Art

-Art and Social Media

-Art and Mass Media

-Art Performance

-New Media Culture

-Game Art

-Web Art

-New Media Art utilizing Mobile Apps or Devices

-Installation Art

 

*Installation

The artist can exhibit up to one work. The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The artist will install the work on January 4, 2019, 5-9 pm. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation work/sculpture should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should be installed with removable tapes or putty. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit or nailing is required for installation. Additional fees may apply.

September 30, 2018     Close submissions

October 5-25, 2018     Approvals: Selected artists/scholars will be notified by email.

January 4, 2019, 5-9 pm EST     Presenters’ Meeting/Artwork Installation

January 5, 2019, 9 am – 2 pm EST    Conference sessions

January 5, 2019, 2-5 pm EST    Party & Performance

*How to submit your work:

– Please send us up to 10 JPG portfolio images (100-700 kilobytes per image recommended) and/or up to 3 direct links to video/ web/interactive art, your proposal, artist statement, and bio. Please email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”

– Please write “Submission: Art Teleported – Presenter’s Name” in the subject line of your email.
