DESCRIPTION

Rideshare Gallery is a bi-weekly alternative exhibition space that claims the 12" x 6" front license plate of a car as its gallery. There are 19 states in the US that don’t require front license plates and most of those states have DMVs that sell decorative plates that usually fall into one of three categories: sports, religion, and country. What if we expanded the possibilities of that content? The 12" x 6" size and visibility of the front license plate makes it a convenient format to get your work out and into the world. Indiana-based Rideshare Gallery will exhibit one submission every two weeks to mount on the front of a car.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
This is an open call with a rolling due date. Submissions should be emailed to ridesharegallery@gmail.com as a JPG. Submissions must be 12" x 6" open to any medium and on any surface that is hardy enough to hang in there (aluminum, 1/4 plywood, acrylic), weather proofed, pre-drilled and ready to mount. Accepted work will be returned to the artist after the exhibition.
