Rauschenberg Archives Research Residency

Type: Awards, Grants, Fellowships [View all]
Posted by: Robert Rauschenberg Foundation
Deadline: Fri, November 2nd, 2018

The Rauschenberg Foundation announces an open call for applicants for the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation Archives Research Residency (formerly Travel Fund), a program that provides partial support for costs related to accommodations, travel, and living expenses that scholars may incur in order to do research at the Rauschenberg Foundation and its Archives located in Manhattan, New York.

The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation Archives, consisting of Robert Rauschenberg’s personal papers and the records from his studios, is the most comprehensive body of information on the artist’s life and career. The Rauschenberg Archives Research Residency supports continued scholarly and investigative use of these archival materials. We invite scholars, academics, artists, and other researchers who can demonstrate a compelling need to use the archives onsite at the Foundation to apply.

2019 Archives Research Residencies are one- to two-weeks at the Rauschenberg Foundation in New York and will be scheduled between February 4 – December 12, 2019.

Applications will be open from September 17 until the November 2, 2018 deadline. More information, including eligible candidates and projects, selection criteria, and how to apply, can be found here.
