The School of Art and Design seeks proposals for outdoor sculptures to be exhibited on the Evansdale Campus of West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, West Virginia. Sculptures will be on display for two years (from October 2019-October 2021). Selection includes an honorarium of $2000 for travel, set up, and de-installation. $1000 of the honorarium will be dispersed at install and the remaining $1000 will be dispersed when the artist picks up their work. 

Open to artists 18 years or older. Sculptures will be placed on the landscape and walkways surrounding the WVU Creative Arts Center. The selections will be submitted to the University Public Art Committee for verification before the final selections are publicized.

Each artist may submit up to three works that have been completed within the last five years for a nonrefundable handling fee of $25.00 for professional artists and $20.00 for full-time students.   

Sculpture requirements:

The work must be able to withstand outdoor environmental conditions for two years, should be weatherproof and made of durable materials. Public safety is an issue so potentially hazardous features will eliminate an entry.

Entries must be received or postmarked by May 1st.
