Call for work! The Screen@SAB is accepting submissions for SCREEN2019: CLIMATES, a month-long moving image exhibition held in the Studio Arts Building at UMASS Amherst, Fall 2019.

"We live in a time and place where extreme and polarized “Climates” are the new norm. We seek work that speaks to, resists, deconstructs, makes sense of, exposes, explores, re-imagines, and questions current, past, and future Climates; be they environmental, political, fantastical, ideological, spiritual or philosophical."

Work should have been completed within the last three years. With sound or silent. Shorter works preferred - up to 10 minutes. Up to two submissions per person.

The Screen@SAB is a 55” flat screen monitor installed in the atrium commons area of the Studio Arts Building. Submission is free. Deadline to submit is July 31, 2019

Accepted works must be in mp4 format. Please submit the following to screensab@umass.edu .

Subject line: Fall 2019 Screening

In the body of the email include:

1. Name

2. Title

3. Medium (video, animation..)

4. Duration

5. Year

6. Link to the full version of work, and password if applicable.

7. Description/statement about work 8.

8. Short bio

9. Website

Artists will be notified of acceptance by the end of the first week in August. Accepted works must be sent via WeTransfer or similar service, or by vimeo download. Looking forward to seeing the work!
