To be held on Friday and Saturday, September 18th and 19th, in the auditorium of the Berkeley Art Museum

Organized by T.J. Clark and C.H. Hallett, and sponsored by the Departments of Art History and of Classics of the University of California at Berkeley, and by the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut in Berlin.

The aim of the conference is to provide leading scholars of Greek and Roman art and culture with the opportunity to open a wide-ranging discussion of the new approaches to mythological sarcophagi currently being advocated.
