CAA seeks nominations for its 12 Awards for Distinction. Award juries consider your personal letters of recommendation when making their selections. The different perspectives and anecdotes from multiple letters provide juries with a clearer picture of the qualities and attributes of the candidates.

CAA awards are:
• Distinguished Feminist Award
• Charles Rufus Morey Book Award
• Alfred H. Barr, Jr., Award
• Arthur Kingsley Porter Prize
• Art Journal Award
• Frank Jewett Mather Award
• Distinguished Teaching of Art Award
• Distinguished Teaching of Art History Award
• Artist Award for a Distinguished Body of Work
• Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement
• CAA/Heritage Preservation Award for Distinction in Scholarship and Conservation
• Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing on Art
