SHARED JOURNEYS: Chinese/American Ceramic Art and Education

NCECA is pleased to announce a new initiative in the area of international programming. A collaborative symposium is scheduled with NCECA and the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute (JCI) that will take place in Jingdezhen, China in October of 2008. With a title of SHARED JOURNEYS: Chinese/American Ceramic Art and Education, this international event will feature ceramic artists and historians from both the U.S. and China who will participate in lectures,panel presentations, demonstrations, excursions to local historic clay centers, as well as gallery exhibitions.
Travel dates are Oct 22 - Nov 2, 2008. Four days in Shanghai are scheduled prior to the Symposium programming in Jingdezhen. Space is limited to 60 participants from the U.S., with special prices for students and NCECA members.
