Post-Doctoral Fellowships at The Phillips Collection

The Phillips Collection’s Center for the Study of Modern Art/Illinois at The Phillips offers 2 full-time post-doctoral fellowships for the 2009-2010 academic year. The fellowships will support research on American or European art from 1880 to the present, including photography. Projects that focus on the Phillips Collection’s areas of collecting are preferred. Each fellowship carries a stipend of $30,000 per semester for one or two semesters. Individuals who have completed their Ph.D. in the past five years are encouraged to apply. Fellows will lead a seminar or colloquium at the museum on their research during the fellowship period. Applicants should send a cover letter, CV, 2 letters of reference, and a 1-page abstract of the topic and research plan to:
