The Division on Culture and War of CSA would like to invite submissions for the 11th Annual Meeting of the Cultural Studies Association (US), to be held at Columbia College Chicago, May 23-26, 2013. Along with the standing, general "open call" on all aspects of culture and war with relevance to the mission of the Division, we would also like to invite papers that address more specific areas such as (1) the dead (including but not limited to: cemeteries, images of the dead for propaganda, mourning, photography, the martyr, the cult of the dead) and (2) the war museum (including but limited to: exhibition practice, community programs, architecture, site specificity, tourism).
Please submit the following by February 7: a. your name, email address, department, and institutional affiliation. b. a 500-word (or less) abstract for the 20-minute paper proposed, including a paper title.
