The organizers of an upcoming symposium on race and the representation of the black body in media, literature, and the arts, are looking for artists to create postcards representing their conceptualization of race and how it is represented within the national imaginary. The post cards will be used as part of an installation that will be viewed by event participants, students, faculty and staff of Stony Brook University.

Program Description:
Race and Representation: The Black Body in Media, Literature, and the Arts is an interdisciplinary one-day symposium that builds upon current conversations about racialized bodies and how they are represented in the national imaginary.
