IN THE SPIRIT OF DETROIT’S 318TH BIRTHDAY AND IT’S IMMENSE ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY, WE ARE ASKING ARTISTS TO INTERPRET CRAFTSMANSHIP OF OUR BUILT ENVIRONMENT THROUGH ART.

In the spirit of Detroit’s 318th birthday and it’s immense architectural history, we are asking artists to interpret architectural craftsmanship through art. The Parducci Society will display selected artwork during an exhibit and happy hour fundraiser on Detroit’s Birthday, July 24th, 2019 at the Detroit Shipping Company. The exhibit will run at Detroit Shipping Company from July 9, 2019 to July 28, 2019. Artists are asked to submit a brief art concept and one to two images of the work to be included in the pop-up exhibit, a short bio (2-3 sentences).

Artwork must be two-dimensional and ready to hang.

Artist Eligibility:
> Artists must be able to deliver their work on the date provided.
> There will be no stipend or awards given. (Artists will have the opportunity to sell their work by including contact information on the label of their work.)

Entry Procedure:
To be considered for participation in the Art Exhibit 2019, complete the form below and include a image of the finished artwork or a conceptual sketch (if the work will be created for this exhibit). There is no entry fee required. Please note that there is limited space and not all applicants will be selected to participate. The final selection of artists will be determined by the Parducci Society. Artists must be able to drop off their work on July 6-7th.

Please email 1-2 images of your proposed work to: PeterGriffon@ParducciSociety.org
