Alserkal Arts Foundation’s inaugural Research Grants is designed to support radical, innovative, and contemporary research that challenges traditional modes of practice in a variety of fields. Applicants can include, but are in no way limited to, multi-disciplinary visual and sonic artists, architects, writers of fiction and non-fiction, independent publishers, documentary filmmakers, educators, geographers, historians, economists, and social scientists.

 

Key information: 

Application period: 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020

Geographical focus: the MEASA region

Grant amount: US$5000 for individuals and US$10,000 for duos, collectives, and independent publishers

Eligibility: be over 21 years of age; have minimum 5 years of experience; and demonstrate an imaginative and maturing practice which creates space for accessible discourse and pedagogy
