Regional & National Visiting Artist Program

 

The Creative Arts Department at Spalding University is piloting the visiting artist program for the 2020-21 academic year.

The interdisciplinary art and design program at Spalding has a long-term goal of emphasizing public art and social practice.

Our visiting artist series in 2020-21 will introduce our students to the methods used in the making of public art through social practice by hosting artists who are local to the region as well as outside of the area.

Hands on learning, combined with artist workshops and projects designed to engage the community will offer our students practical experiences that they may apply to their own work and efforts directed at creating new professional opportunities
