The exhibition committee at Elon Universtiy is currently accepting proposals for solo and small group exhibitions for the 2020-21 academic calendar. Priority will be given to work that is in dialogue with contemporary practices and ideas. The exhibition would ideally then be used to expand or frame conversations about contemporary definitions of art, materiality, and/or process. All mediums will be considered. Due to the current COVID19 pandemic, we are heading into the exhibition year with a focus on flexibility. We want to continue a vibrant gallery presence in the community, yet are uncertain about the feasibility of artist talks and receptions.  We will give special consideration for exhibition proposals that offer art that could be shipped in the event that travel and/or social gathering are restricted. In addition to the gallery exhibition, chosen artists will also have their work featured on the Elon virtual gallery that can be found at gallery406.org. Submit your proposals of an exhibition/artist statement, representative images, and current cv’s of all artists to be considered, to gallery406atelon@gmail.com
