Call for works exploring race and identity

Type: Exhibition Opportunities [View all]
Posted by: The Ohio State University
Deadline: Fri, August 28th, 2020

The Pearl Conard Art Gallery at The Ohio State University at Mansfield is seeking works by artists who explore issues surrounding race, identity, and contemporary culture in the United States. A virtual exhibition of works will be published to the gallery’s website and social media pages in conjunction with our theatre program’s virtual production of Idris Goodwin’s #matter in September 2020. Selected artists may be asked to participate in a moderated discussion about their work and/or contribute additional materials for online engagement.

Artists are invited to apply with works created within the past 5 years. Please email digital files and/or links to 10-20 images of work(s) to be considered, an artist statement that addresses the work(s) submitted, a one-paragraph biography, and your contact information to pearlconardgallery@gmail.com. Please include your name in the subject line. There is no fee and any media that can be documented and presented in a digital format will be considered, including the written word.
