Type: Residencies, Workshops, Exchanges [View all]
Posted by: Society of Architectural Historians
Deadline: Sat, August 15th, 2020

All art history faculty and students with a focus on the built environment are invited to participate in the SAH Data Project surveys. Doing so helps to make sure your perspectives and concerns are communicated and recognized within SAH.

Please complete the relevant survey(s) before they close on August 15, 2020:

Institutional Survey:

o   This survey is for anyone who can provide information on enrollment and hiring trends over time, by virtue of institutional memory or access to departmental records at institutions in the United States. Collects enrollment and demographic data for departments that include architectural history-focused courses.

o   Use this survey PDF to help you gather statistics before completing the survey online.

Faculty Survey:

o   This survey is for anyone who has served as the instructor of record for at least one architectural history-focused course at the undergraduate or graduate level in the United States. Collects demographic and research interests data for individual faculty.

Student Survey:

o   This survey is for anyone who has completed at least one architectural history-focused course within the past 5 years for undergraduate or graduate credit in the United States. Collects demographic and research interests data for individual students.

The SAH Data Project is gathering quantitative and qualitative information about the status of architectural history as a field in higher education in the United States. The study is supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. A full report of the findings will be available on the SAH website in 2021.
