ART OF NATURE: INTO THE WILD
Art of Nature is an annual 6-week outdoor installation in the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, Atlanta, GA.
The installation opens on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Curated by Blue Heron Artist in Residence, Steven L. Anderson.
Blue Heron Nature Preserve seeks proposals for works by contemporary artists to design projects based on the theme "Into the Wild."
• What is wilderness, and what does it mean?
• What does it mean to be wild?
• How would the artist’s project make this place more or less wild?
Projects must be an outdoor piece that is integrated within the Preserve. Artworks may be site-specific. Durability/ephemerality in outdoor conditions must be considered.
Selected artists will receive $800 honoraria.
$25 to submit ($10 for students).
Submissions due Sunday, March. 14, 11:59pm EST.
Decisions will be announced by March 19th.
