Aion Laboratory, a division of Ise-Shima Art Company in Japan, invites entries to the 2nd Aion Digital Art Prize (2026-2027), an international competition for digital and media art.

 

Artists of any age and nationality may apply. Eligible work includes digital images, video, animation, sound art, interactive art, digital installations, AR/VR and other new media practices. Collaborative works and works previously exhibited or awarded are welcome. AI-assisted work is eligible if its use is explained; works created solely by AI are not accepted.

 

Deadline: 1 March 2027, 23:59 GMT.

Entry fee: JPY 3,000 per work, non-refundable. Each work requires a separate application and fee.

Awards: One Grand Prize of JPY 50,000 and a printed certificate; up to 35 additional Aion Digital Art Prizes with certificates.

Results: 5 May 2027, by email and on the official website.

 

Apply online by submitting an accessible link to the work and a description through the official application form, then completing payment. Applicants retain copyright; the rules explain the organizer’s permission to introduce, share and exhibit submitted work.
