Individual Membership

CAA has restructured its membership categories to enable the organization to better serve its diverse community of visual-arts professionals. Need help selecting the membership level that’s right for you? Check out our member guide to find out where you belong.

Questions? Contact Member Services at 212-691-1051, ext. 1.

Join the largest international visual-arts association today and connect to CAA’s vital community of artists, scholars, and other professionals in the visual arts. For over a century, CAA has served the interests of its members and the field at large. CAA members are part of an exclusive network that provides access to targeted career services, the latest art-world news, and the best original writing on art, research in art history, and critical reviews. When you attend CAA’s Annual Conference, you have the opportunity to expand your professional network, participate in compelling sessions covering the full range of art history and visual culture, and hone your skills in professional-development workshops, mentoring sessions, and portfolio reviews.

Membership Categories and Benefits

Select a membership category below to view the additional benefits associated with that level. Each of the following categories (except Life) can be purchased for one- and two-year terms. In addition, it is now possible to have your membership automatically renew at the end of its term by calling Member Services after processing your membership online and providing your credit card information, or by checking the Auto-Renew box on the Individual Membership Application Form. An email reminder will be sent to you prior to your card being charged or if your card is about to expire. You can call Member Services at any time to add or update credit card information.
