Contemporary artists dealing with death

Death is a subject that has been intricately linked to photography--from the formal traditions of memento mori to theoretical discourses connecting the two. This exhibition will feature a small group of contemporary artists who are addressing this difficult subject.

Artists who address death, cultural responses to death and dying, or represent death in a way that is informed by geography, politics, ritual, or empathy are encouraged to submit a CD of images for consideration.

This group exhibition will take place in spring/summer 2012.

*Work must be photographic or video-based to be considered.
