Volunteer at CAA 2020 and earn complimentary Conference registration.
CAA seeks volunteers during conference hours, Wednesday, February 12–Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Wednesday: 8AM-12:30PM, 1:30-6PM
Thursday & Friday: 8AM-12:30PM, 1:30-6:30PM
Saturday: 8AM-12:30PM, 1:30-5PM
Volunteers will help ensure a successful conference by welcoming participants and attendees, as well as supporting conference participants as they prepare for the next session or event. Volunteers will cover an area of the conference venue, they will not monitor a single session room.
Requirements:
CAA membership is encouraged but not required. Preference will be given to current CAA members. We are looking for friendly, communicative problem solvers who are comfortable in a customer service role, able to navigate crowds quickly as well as being patient and flexible in a busy environment. Students, emerging professionals, and others in the Chicago area are encouraged to apply. You will indicate your availability during each day of the Conference hours – maximum 15 hrs; 2-3 shifts from all conference days. Check all possible availability, CAA will not assign more than three shifts.
Deadline and Notification:
Application form will close November 22. Selected volunteers will be informed December 4, 2019, and must register for the conference before December 15. Upon the completion of volunteer hours, CAA will process reimbursements.
Compensation:
Selected volunteers will receive complimentary full-conference registration after completing their scheduled hours. A limited number of registrations are available. Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 9 hrs – maximum 15 hrs; 2-3 shifts during the conference. Online orientation is required before the conference. A completed sign-in sheet will be required.
