Programs

International

CAA applauds and supports the growing internationalization of our organization. Whether in the fields of art history, visual arts, design, visual culture, or museums, CAA members are increasingly working as scholars, artists, or curators beyond borders and across the globe.

There are several programs that CAA provides with international members in mind.

CAA-Getty International Program

The CAA-Getty International Program, generously supported by the Getty Foundation, provides funding to art historians, museum curators, and artists who teach art history to attend CAA’s Annual Conferences, held every February in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or other major U.S. cities. The goal of the project is to increase international participation in CAA, to diversify the organization’s membership, and to foster collaborations between American art historians, artists, and curators and their international colleagues.

SUPPORT AND TRAVEL GRANTS

CAA provides support and travel grants to our Annual Conference through CAA Member Support Grants, Grants for Annual Conference Registration, and the Samuel H. Kress Foundation CAA Conference Travel Fellowship.  

International Opportunities

CAA's provides listings of various types of opportunities including events, honors, internships and more which are submitted by members and institutions. many of these opportunities are available internationally.
