Each year CAA awards a number of grants to cover Annual Conference Registration for members experiencing financial difficulty.          

Eligibility requirements:   

  • Current CAA membership (active from time of application through the conference) 
  • No significant funding from other sources to support conference attendance 
  • Completed online application including CAA membership ID number and a statement of need (no more than 150 words) 

Other information:   

  • CAA accepts applications for registration grants October 15–December 15. 
  • Students and conference participants/presenters are encouraged to apply.  
  • Grant recipients will be notified by January 15.  

If you would like to support future conference attendance, consider making a Pay-it-Forward gift. Contributions fund CAA’s Annual Conference Support Grant, enabling MFA and PhD students as well as international artists, scholars, and visual arts professionals in need of support to attend the Annual Conference each year.
