Theme

Transition is defined as “movement, passage, or change from one position, state, or place to another.” Through this show you have the opportunity to write your own commentary on change through your visual representation of the concept. When thinking on the theme you may consider the different stages of transition - before the change, during transition and afterwards. Transition in our own lives can surprise us, excite us, knock us down, and save us. We will be looking for inventive approaches, interpret this theme as it applies to you and your life experiences.

By nature, the Art Expedition is constantly moving from place to place, new visitors and students tour at each location and each experience for the viewer is slightly different. As such, for the 2018-2019 school year the Art Expedition will be filled with artwork that encourages dialogue about movement and change.
