The Artist-in-Residency (AIR) program at Arkansas Tech University (Tech) is an immersive experience within an art and educational community intended to advance the careers of practicing artists, to present the residents as role models for the Tech community, and to strengthen the public’s awareness of the significance of making art and its effect on the community. The residency will take place over a 5 month period. The AIR program (2019) will focus on bringing in an artist that works in the following: free-standing large-scale outdoor public art.

January 7, 2019 - May 24, 2019, Stipend: $20,000.00, Supply Budget: $15,000.00, Application Deadline: September 21, 2018

Qualifications

Practicing visual artists currently producing and exhibiting works of art, proven record of consistent and successful exhibitions, creative practice of three or more years in his or her professional fields, MFA in Visual Arts
