Open Call for Curatorial Proposals

Type: Exhibition Opportunities [View all]
Posted by: Mesa Community College Art Gallery
Deadline: Mon, April 1st, 2019

MCC Art Gallery welcomes curatorial proposals on a rolling basis. Application Deadline Spring - Monday, April 1, 2019 Curatorial proposals are defined to mean any person or group that is critically engaged in curatorial practice, involving research, development, writing, design, and production of original exhibitions with an educational emphasis. We are seeking proposals from independent curators, artist-curators, curatorial teams, and not-for-profit arts and culture organizations. We strive to bring innovative and high-quality programming that represents a broad variety of mediums and subject matter. Cross-disciplinary curatorial projects are also welcome. Selected proposals tie in pedagogically to MCC Art Gallery educational goals. Submissions must consider the gallery space, context and audiences to have the best chance for success. Projects designed to stimulate ideas are encouraged. While solo exhibitions are occasionally selected by the committee, it is suggested that applicants consider more than one exhibitor in their proposal.

Applications accepted via submittable.
