Call for Art: California Contemporary Sculpture – Outdoor Exhibition

Chico Art Center is seeking contemporary sculpture by California artists for a six-month outdoor exhibition on an historic farm located in Chico, California.  This farm is not only a working hops yard, but also a working sculpture studio for artist-owners, Jana and Dave Lawton. Ceramic and metal sculptures are displayed throughout the property.

This juried exhibition seeks to feature the variety of media in which contemporary sculptors are working today. Media that can endure all weather are eligible. The six–month outdoor exhibition will be held in conjunction with a one–month indoor gallery exhibition.  Artists may enter both (separate entry required for each). Prizes awarded separately for each exhibition. All ages welcome.

Outdoor Exhibition: April – October, 2020

Reception: Sunday, May 3, 2–4 pm

Entry fee: $35

All entries selected receive a $500 transportation assist grant.

Prizes: $1500 Best of Show; $500 Honorable Mention; Gallery Director’s Choice: Solo Exhibition
