AHNCA Graduate Student Symposium in Nineteenth-Century Art

The Fourteenth Annual Graduate Student Symposium in the History of Nineteenth-Century Art, co-sponsored by the Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art (AHNCA) and the Dahesh Museum of Art, will be held on Sunday, March 26, at the Dahesh Museum in NYC. The Mervat Zahid Cultural Foundation has provided some travel funding, a $1000 prize for the best paper, and opportunity for publication in Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide.

Graduate students are invited to submit proposals for 20-minute papers on topics in the history of art and visual culture of the long nineteenth-century (1789–1914). Send the following to the selection committee by Dec. 18, 2016 as a single email attachment addressed to pmainardi@gc.cuny.edu; do not send multiple files: 2-page c.v.; cover sheet with name, school, title of paper, faculty adviser, and the paper’s relation to the doctoral dissertation; 500-word abstract.
