The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, located on Long Beach Island in New Jersey, welcomes applications for our Summer Photography Internship program. This is an unpaid internship.

Position
· Work closely with the LBIF Marketing Coordinator and Gallery Coordinator to photograph art, science, and social events.
· Gain valuable hands-on experience in photographing our events as well as photographing actual artwork.
· Photography experience and an education in art is desired (BFA or MFA candidates or recent grads)
· Intern must have their own camera equipment.
· Interns will have a flexible schedule averaging three days a week based around our summer events schedule. Applicants must be willing to work events late nights and weekends. Most LBIF events run from 6pm-9pm on Saturday or Sunday evenings.
· Engage with membership, volunteers, artists, vendors, and the public.
Ideal Candidates would start mid-May or early June and be available through August.
The LBIF is looking for personable, outgoing, self-motivated individuals who can communicate and work effectively within a small team. LBIF Events Interns should be interested in growing their knowledge of events in the non-profit sector and participating in a memorable summer on LBI. Events Interns should be able to lift 20lbs and be comfortable spending long periods of time on their feet.
